You will receive the 1st info paper before the 1st of July, where more information about the exchange as such will be given, but since most of you already have an experience with the United Games of Nations in Izola you have a general idea about the exchange.

This date is official and not subject to change, so you can write it down in your calendars :)

Participants: each delegation consists of 4 participants and 1 delegation leader from each country.

Main theme: The main theme of the exchange is »youth in sports«. The goal will be to present sporting activities as a pivotal component in a healthy lifestyle that most young people nowadays don't practice.

Programme: To encourage young people to live a physically active life, the participants will listen to a presentation about healthy lifestyle and nutrition and also learn about peculiar sports from each country. To show that you can be physically active and also do some good work we will go away from Izola for 2 days and do volunteering work in another community.

Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Volunteering in Human rights education - an active tool for personal development - is an
intercultural training course on Human Rights Education directed to youth leaders that work
with young people or for active young people that wish to work further on their selfdevelopment
in the youth work sector.

The training will take place in the City of Mostar,
Bosnia Herzegovina in November 2011, in duration of 7 days. The training will gather 10
partner organizations and 30 participants from Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia,
Montenegro, Albania, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Portugal.

The aim of the training is to give to the participants new tools to work with youth and to teach
them the importance of respecting other’s rights. The project will empower youth leaders,
workers, trainers working to develop strategies and activities to address racism, xenophobia,
discrimination and gender-based forms of non respect. The participants will be
familiarised with different manuals on human rights education and discuss how to best use
them and adapt them to their local contexts and realities.

This training course will prepare young people to plan and run youth activities on Human
Rights Education especially in the frame of the Youth in Action programme. The project is also
directed to establish a bridge among the partners and other organizations active in promoting
human rights education and therefore to foster cooperation among those NGOs.
The training course facilitates intercultural dialogue and understanding.

Accommodation in shared en suite triple rooms will be provided in Pansion Lombrelle, in the
old town, some 100 meters away from the famous Mostar Old Bridge.
